Employment Opportunities

The Girls’ Middle School in Palo Alto, California, is a progressive, independent school for sixth-eighth grade girls. Founded in 1998 by Kathleen Bennett as a stand-alone middle school for girls, GMS educates girls during a pivotal time in their lives. Our curriculum encourages creativity, problem solving, collaboration and independent thought through project-based learning.

The Girls’ Middle School is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all federal, state, and local laws which prohibit discrimination in employment because of race, color, national origin, citizenship, age (18 or older), religion, disability, marital status, veteran status, and sexual orientation.

Compensation and Benefits

GMS pays commensurate with other independent schools. The school provides a full benefits package including health, vision, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement program, and life/long-term disability insurance. The school also offers teachers professional development opportunities through participation in professional conferences, workshops and courses.
