Veronica earned a bachelors degree in Literature and Drama from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with additional study at The National Institute of Arts in Mexico. In 2007, Veronica began the highly regarded masters program in Spanish Education at Bennington College.

In addition to her creative and energetic work with the students at GMS, Veronica teaches drama at The National Hispanic University and MACLA in San Jose and is a reporter at Alianza Metropolitan News. In 2003, she created Teatro Nahual, a Spanish language theatre in Santa Clara County. Veronica is also a Spanish playwright, most recently of "Strike without Sticks."

Prior to GMS, Veronica was manager of the Spanish Literacy program at Harbor College Job Placement Center in Los Angeles, where for two years she taught adults to read and write in their own language and tutored them in math and GED classes. Before that, along with extensive theatre work in Mexico City, Veronica taught Spanish grammar and drama to junior high and high school students.

Veronica joined the faculty at GMS in 2001.
