8th Grade Spanish for Fluent Speakers
Course Description
This class is an advance language course designed for students who are fluent in Spanish. It is an introduction to both Peninsular and Latin-American literature. This course has been designed to refine and further develop the students’ proficiency with the Spanish language and promote and improve analytic and critical thinking skills.
Philosophy
Eighth grade Spanish for fluent speakers has been designed to develop teach student’s ability to connect with the world beyond her own by critically analyzing different pieces of literature. One of the major goals in this class is to help the students understand that the written word is an orderly reproduction of the writer’s thoughts. Students will be encouraged to use their creativity and understanding of the reading assignments to find their own writing style.
