Financial Giving
No matter what your financial situation, you can contribute to The Girls' Middle School. Read on to find out what best fits your style of giving or contact us to discuss your particular needs and goals.
Because GMS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your contribution is fully tax deductible in most cases. We are happy to discuss donations with your tax accountant or financial advisor.
Financial Aid/Scholarship Donor
Our financial aid donors are critical to the success of our diversity program. Donors commit to a three-year pledge to cover part or all of a student's needs. (A year at The Girls' Middle School costs over $24,000 in tuition, uniforms, trip expenses, technology support, and transportation.) By becoming a financial aid donor to The Girls' Middle School, you can make a life-changing difference in the education of a girl.
Endowment Donor
Endowments provide a means to support The Girls' Middle School for years to come as well as a legacy to honor a parent, spouse or other loved one. We invest the endowment funds for maximum return and use the yearly income for operating and other expenses. You choose a name for the endowment fund and receive an annual summary of fund balance and disbursements.
Guided Giving
Our Annual Parent Appeal is called Guided Giving and helps close a gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. We strive to reach participation in the Guided Giving campaign by 100% of our families.
Annual Staff Appeal
Giving at The Girls' Middle School is not just for families. Our staff and board of trustees also contribute financially to an annual campaign. Our goal is 100% staff and board of trustee participation.
Annual Friends Appeal
Our girls aren't the only ones who get by with a little help from their friends. Once a year we ask corporations, foundations, families and friends to consider making a donation to The Girls' Middle School. Whether $5 or $50,000, these once-a-year gifts help ensure that girls will continue to have a place where they can develop their own voices - and enhance our world. Friends support particular events such as the Entrepreneurial Night (VCs finance students' businesses) and Intersession classes (trips and supplies).
