Our three-year, mandatory computer science curriculum is the subject of a presentation at the Digital Media and Learning Conference, taking place March 1-3 in San Francisco, in a session on "Women and Girls Engaging with Technology." As the program describes:

Imagine spending a luxurious Friday afternoon reading your favorite book, embroidering a pair of jeans, building a robot, or playing Ultimate frisbee.  Who wouldn't want to kick their weekend off spending some time pursuing a passion, learning a new craft, or just unwind after a long week? At The Girls' Middle School every Friday afternoon is joyful, relaxing, and filled with opportunity as students rush off to Electives, their last class of the week.

We invite you to attend an Open House to discover the many opportunities The Girls’ Middle School has to offer girls in grades 6th, 7th and 8th.  When you visit GMS you will experience the energy of our students, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the warm atmosphere of our new Palo Alto campus.

When April rolls around, GMS celebrates with our annual Spring Intersession.  Students leave the usual classroom environment behind and venture out in small groups for an array of unusual and exciting offerings. This year’s courses ran the gamut from organic gardening to jewelry making to learning to Zumba!  Here are just a few of the featured offerings:
