Giving back to the global, local, and school communities is an important theme at GMS. The Community Service Club, which meets weekly and is open to all students, organizes service efforts at the school and encourages students to think beyond themselves in a variety of ways. In the past, the club has organized fundraising drives, hosted bake sales for a chosen cause, collected and donated books and supplies to nonprofit organizations, created digital public service announcements, and worked on school improvement and beautification projects. The club also partners with the Student Council in an effort to link both leadership groups. GMS is continually looking for ways to integrate service learning into the daily life of the school.
