Student Council

Student Council

Students at GMS have the opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience and become part of the Student Council beginning in sixth-grade. Students may apply for Student Council in the fall, and they must commit at least a year of their elective time to participating in the group. The Student Council tackles a variety of important community-wide projects and events throughout the year. For example, Student Council members have organized assemblies, field days, holiday events, speaker visits, and fundraising drives. In addition, members may run for leadership positions within the Student Council and choose to take on even greater responsibility for the progress of the group. The GMS Student Council is a visible and active presence on campus; the group helps the entire student body come together and builds community throughout the year.
