Transition to High School
After three years at GMS, students are well prepared to tackle the rigors and challenges of high school. They have been supported as learners throughout their middle school experience and are able to translate their academic confidence and skills into high school success. Students matriculate from high schools across the Bay Area, including public, private, and parochial institutions. To help guide the transition to high school, GMS invites admissions representatives from area high schools to come speak with students during the fall of their eighth-grade year. Students and their families are also invited to a high school information night at GMS, as well as high school fairs hosted at other local schools. GMS also maintains a high school information bulletin board with fliers, open house dates, and admissions office and school district contact information for our community. Members of our staff assist with high school placement and are available to answer questions and guide students and families through the process during their eighth-grade year.
