Campus Visits

Due to Covid-19, we do not know yet whether we will offer in-person Campus Visits for families. If we are not able to gather in large numbers, we will instead create smaller gatherings or offer a variety of virtual meetings to enable families to get to know our school and community. Please check back here on September 1st, 2020 for updates. Below is the process previously followed for your reference.

We invite your daughter to visit GMS in order to observe classes, meet students and teachers, and experience our school in action. We look forward to seeing your daughter on campus this fall. Parents are invited to stay on campus for a brief Parent Tour when they bring their daughter for a Campus Visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time and where should I drop off and pick up my daughter?
The Campus Visit is from 8:15 am to 12:30 pm. Please plan to drop your daughter off at the GMS front desk at 8:00 am in order to have time to meet her student host and settle in before classes begin at 8:20 am.

Please park in the GMS parking lot and bring your daughter to the front desk to check in. A member of the Admission Team will meet you and your daughter at the front desk.

What should my daughter bring and what should she wear?
She should bring a snack, lunch, water bottle, and a book. Dress is casual, and sneakers are encouraged.

Where should I park?
Please park in the GMS parking lot in a designated visitor spot, or in a vacant spot behind the school. If there is no available parking at GMS, park on Loma Verde Avenue, a neighborhood street a half a block north of GMS.

What is a Parent Tour and how do I sign up?
Parent Tours offer an opportunity for you to ask questions and get to know GMS. When you schedule your daughter's Campus Visit, let us know that you'll be staying for a Parent Tour. You'll have the opportunity to talk with GMS staff and current parents, and see some GMS classes in action. Parent Tours are optional. Tours will take place from 8:15 am to 9:00 am each day that we offer Campus Visits. A member of the Admission Team will meet you at the front desk for your Parent Tour when you bring your daughter for her visit.
