The Bennett Scholars Program

The Bennett Scholars Program supports high-achieving girls who attend under-resourced elementary schools and often represent the first generation in their families to be college bound. In addition to tuition, we provide Bennett Scholars with laptops, lunches, uniforms, one-on-one tutoring, and the costs of all trips and material expenses. The program is funded through the generosity of our parents, alumnae, and members of the community. The program’s ultimate goal is to ensure that each girl and her family know that when she leaves GMS, she can determine her own path to whatever future she desires.

Traditionally, GMS Bennett scholars have pursued higher education at esteemed universities and colleges across the state and country. Notably, the seniors from the Class of 2023 embarked on their academic journeys at institutions such as Cornell University, UC Santa Cruz, University of San Francisco, Santa Clara University, Foothill College, and UC Davis in the past fall.

I want to be a robotics engineer or a coder. I aspire to design robots that take care of people, such as nurses, and contribute to creating a better world.
