Media Literacy & Production
Our three-year media literacy curriculum encourages students to think critically about, and contribute to, the wider media culture in which they live. When students become photographers, they understand how images are constructed. Through learning Photoshop, they create their own digital art and understand how photos can be manipulated. The students write and produce Public Service Announcements broadcast on local TV and YouTube; they become active producers of media, rather than passive consumers, using the tools of media to speak out and educate others.
