Ways to Give

Make your gift instantly through our secure online giving page with a credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover online. If you prefer, contact the Advancement Team  and we can accept your credit card information by phone, including American Express. 

Checks made payable to The Girls’ Middle School can be mailed to the following address: The Girls’ Middle School, 3400 West Bayshore Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303. You can drop off your check or cash in the secure silver mailbox outside the front door of the building facing West Bayshore Road. If you are donating cash, please be sure to include a note with your name and contact information with the cash in the envelope before you leave it in the secure silver mailbox.  

If you are not ready to make your gift right now, please let us know your plans to give using our Pledge form. You can pledge now and pay later. We request that all pledges are fulfilled by May 31. 

Gifts of appreciated securities offer significant tax advantages to the donor and are easy to arrange. Please reach out to the Advancement Team at advancement@girlsms.org or (650) 968-8338, for stock donation instructions

You can recommend a grant to The Girls' Middle School through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) to support our fundraising campaigns. Please contact the Advancement Team to let us know your plans or if you have any questions.  

You can give your gift or pay a pledge through a bank wire or ACH. Please contact the Advancement Team to let us know your plans and we will send you the GMS banking details. Be sure to include your name and gift information in the instructions. 

Corporate matching gift programs are a great way to double or triple your gift. Use our Double Your Donation tool or check with your Human Resources Department to learn whether your company has a matching gifts program and how to start the process.

Any asset may be transferred to The Girls’ Middle School by bequest. The gift may be made in your will, through a trust, or by designating The Girls’ Middle School as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan. Our planned-giving circle, The Founding Mothers Legacy Circle, honors the women who through their keen foresight and deep generosity made The Girls' Middle School possible. Please contact the Advancement Team to let us know your plans or if you have any questions.  

We welcome in-kind donations such as office equipment, classroom supplies, athletic equipment, and other items related to the educational program. Prior to making any in-kind contribution, please contact the Advancement Team.

The Advancement Team can provide information about the many ways to give to The Girls’ Middle School. We also are happy to discuss any of our options with your lawyer or financial advisor.

You can register any or all of your existing grocery loyalty or debit and credit cards for use in the eScrip program. Participating merchants make contributions to GMS based on your purchases. The Girls’ Middle School’s Group ID number is: 138057518.

The Girls’ Middle School is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Our federal tax identification number is 94-3253594. Gifts made to the school are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowed by IRS regulations for charitable donations.
