Bennett Scholars Impact

The Bennett Scholars Program supports high-achieving girls who are from under-resourced communities and often represent the first generation in their families to be college bound. In each grade, GMS provides full three-year scholarships to 10 incredible students. In addition to tuition, GMS provides our Bennett Scholars with laptops, lunches, uniforms, one-on-one tutoring, and the costs of all trips and material expenses. The program’s ultimate goal is to ensure that each girl and her family know that when she leaves GMS, she can determine her own path to whatever future she desires.

For the 2024-25 school year, our goal is to raise $1.5 million to continue providing full three-year scholarships to 10 students.

Bennett Scholars Breakfast

The Bennett Scholars Breakfast is an annual celebration of GMS, our values, and our community, during which we hear from alums and a select keynote speaker. One of the school’s most signature events, the Breakfast plays an essential role in our fundraising efforts and helps empower GMS with the resources to welcome 10 new Bennett Scholars into our sixth-grade class every year. Join us as we celebrate the achievements of our alumni and highlight the many female leaders that serve as role models for our students.

This year, the Breakfast will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Past speakers have included: Vice President Kamala Harris, Former Senator Barbara Boxer, Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Cecile Richards, Sheryl Sandberg, Stacy Brown Philpot, and, most recently in 2024, Cori Duncan.

“I am so thankful for that pivotal day that changed my life when my family learned about GMS and the Bennett Scholars Program. I believe it set off a chain of events that transformed everything for me.”

Tania Montoya Block, GMS Class of 2002
