The Bennett Scholars Program
The Bennett Scholars Program supports high-achieving girls who attend under-resourced elementary schools and often represent the first generation in their families to be college bound. In addition to tuition, we provide Bennett Scholars with laptops, lunches, uniforms, one-on-one tutoring, and the costs of all trips and material expenses. The program is funded through the generosity of our parents, alumnae, and members of the community. The program’s ultimate goal is to ensure that each girl and her family know that when she leaves GMS, she can determine her own path to whatever future she desires.

My experience at GMS was profoundly shaped by the students in The Bennett Scholars Program. This program is one of the many ways that GMS builds a diverse community. The ability to have first-hand experiences and learn from people who are different than you breaks down the barrier of the ‘other’ and provides an opportunity to view the world from many different perspectives.
